Artiest
I am an educator and multidisciplinary artist, living in Toronto, Canada. At an early age, I began to draw and paint, which led to completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art in 2003. At this time, I focused on combining painting with video projection, where a still painting came to life with movement. After university, my life took a different direction away from creating art. In 2019, my creative spark was reawakened after taking a pottery class, and I began to paint again. I work in a variety of mediums – oils, acrylics and watercolours, and have recently introduced ceramics into my art forms. I explore the elements and principles of design along with the relationship between two- and three-dimensional forms. As I begin to emerge back into my creative process, I am beginning to create work about connection and relationship to self and the world around me. Using my art to provide social commentary on important issues.
